Big Bros Hawaiian Grill - Artesia

Everything I've tried so far has been DELICIOUS!! Kalbi beef is definitely my favorite menu item here, as well as one of the best kalbi beefs I've had in LA county. I also enjoyed the breakfast plate with the sausage. The wait for food is a little long, but the food is made FRESH & in great portions, so it's definitely worth the wait. I recommend ordering on the app ahead of time so you can skip the wait. Staff has always been friendly and helpful! Atmosphere at the restaurant is casual and cozy. Can't wait to finish trying everything on the menu!

The food has fairly low variety compared to Ono Hawaiian. Sadly restaurants will be compared and that chain seems better. The cashier was really nice though, even made an effort to speak Chinese. If you prefer service over food you might like this place more; the food is by no means bad but less variety and, as other reviews pointed out, lots of bones or hard textures compared to other Hawaiian places

Edit: 7/21/25. I ordered the island beef ribs, and was absolutely disappointed. When I first came to this restaurant I saw this item ordered and it looked so delicious. I ordered this item twice before and both time the ribs were full of meat and super juicy and you couldn't even close the container because of the size of the ribs and meat on them. They would plastic wrap the container closed to prevent from opening. Well, i decided to order the ribs again since my family had gone out of town and I wanted something good to eat by myself and didnt mind spending the money because this restaurant would give a good amount of food. I ordered on the app and was on my way home from work and wanted to pick up food so I could get home and have a full belly and rest afterwards.... I got home and

We went here for the first time recently. The food was good and the person that took our order was very nice. I asked for extra sauce for the chicken katsu which they happily put in the bag that was sitting on the counter, but unfortunately that wasn’t the bag that our food was put in. When we got home, which is 15 minutes away, I opened it to find no sauce at all for the chicken katsu. That’s my favorite part of that meal 😭😭. It was super annoying but luckily we had taken some of their house sauce which is yummy, the food and people were nice, and the prices aren’t outrageous. We’ll try again in the future. I also wish they had mixed plates so we could get multiple meats. We ended up ordering 3 meals so my husband could have it for lunch the next day.

Island big rib, not bad. Sauce is sweet and salty. I did feel splinter bones, I feel my teeth made weird sound. Just need to eat carefully. But other than that, it’s very nice.
