Habit Burger & Grill

I have to preface this review by saying I LOVE Habit Burger and I’ve left good reviews for other locations. This location is super disappointing. The chicken sandwich was GROSS. The meat was burnt and dried out which usually means 1. It was time and temperature abused or 2. They really didn’t cook it properly. Either way, I didn’t eat it. The bread was also STALE! Considering this sandwich is $9.99… it should have been delicious. My burger was also gross. The meat didn’t taste seasoned, the cheese wasn’t melted, and it was dry. I’ve never had such a terrible experience at any Habit Burger. Service wise- the staff is rude, the manager was unnecessarily dramatic, and the food took well over 20 minutes. This place is hugely underrated. The other day I got, Habit Burger & Grill, for lunch. I have driven past so many of these chains, and always wanted to stop. Every time I drove past one, they always looked so empty or to be closed. Thankfully I did stop this time! I was surprised by the quality of the food. I had ordered their, Double Char Burger w/ Cheese, Sweet Potato Fries, & a side of their Tempura Green Beans. It was so delicious. Everything tasted really fresh, and the manager who helped with my order was so kind and attentive. He should be a brand ambassador, you could tell he loved his job. I really enjoy this burger, if you saw me in real life you would probably guess I’ve had a few in my time… So I know what I’m talking about when I say this chain hits a little different. From the hot pepper salad bar, to the tasty shakes and beverage options, this is not something you want to miss when you go to the US. On another note, Honestly some of the best fries I have ever had, I don’t know how they are cooking those bad boys but the other burger places do not compare. The other thing that was present at this location that may not be everywhere else was the politeness of the staff. We were staying with family who suggested we dine here for lunch. I'd never heard of Habit Burger, but this Santa Barbara-based chain has apparently extended its reach through the East and West coasts. When I asked about the quality of chow, my family described it as "very decent fast food". Color me intrigued. The menu plays to its strengths, so there's little besides burgers. But don't let that make you think it's limited by any means. Their signature Charburger appears in a variety of forms - with different proteins, numbers of patties, breads, toppings, and sauces. I love Habit Burger, and I love the salads they have here. This is a nice location, and I've never seen one with a drive thru before 😳 a good atmosphere, and it is nice and clean. Although, I was looking at the menu to see what to get, and the male cashier kept pushing me to be quicker even though there was no one on line behind me, which was very annoying.
