Habaneros Mexican Grill

The waitress that was working the during the evening was very nice and helpful assisting with my order. I ended up getting 4 asada tacos with a side of rice and the food was delicious. The wait was not long at all and the overall experience was great. Definitely plan on coming back soon whenever I’m in the area.

So glad we got this place in Geneseo! I give Habaneros 5 star for a few reasons. 1. They have the best steak tacos I’ve ever had. I think it’s the seasoning. I get steak tacos often at different Mexican joints and this is hands down the very best. 2. The atmosphere is a vibe! They always got the games on multiple tvs. It’s bright. This is my favorite place to go watch nfl games while grabbing dinner. 3. They have so much room and always plenty of wait staff. We never wait more than 15 minutes to get our food. 4. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. We can’t stay away!

This was our first visit to the new Geneseo location since they opened. They made a HUGE facelift and expansion inside. Tons of seating. Place was uber clean, nicely decorated. The staff was all awesome. Greeted us right away, waiter was on top of it. He did a great job. Menu is nice. Tons of choices. I picked the QuesaBurria with Beans & Rice. My wife had the SR Burrito. My father in law had the steak and Chorizo Torta with beans & Rice and my brother in law had 3 hard shell beef tacos. We all really enjoyed the food. Everything was flavorful and the portions were very nice. We really enjoyed it, and will definitely be back!!!

My wife and I stopped at Habaneros in Geneseo for a mid afternoon dinner and loved it. Their menu was diverse and the food was absolutely wonderful. Traditional to Americanized dishes. While I went with a “mole” dish, my wife ordered the chicken casadia with “polo” soup. Fantastic. My only concern is they had minimal staff available and some time was consumed both before and after our meal. That being said, our waitress was wonderfully supportive and we took care of her! Every Mexican dish is a product of diversity. The seasoning was perfect and we’ll make it a point to return. Thanks to the owners and staff.

I can’t put zero stars but that’s what our experience deserves. We tried to give it the benefit of doubt but after 3 bad experiences, we will not go to this restaurant again. Our most recent was the worst time of the 3. Everyone at the table ran out of drinks before getting a refill after flagging the waiter down. We were told they were out of chips and salsa when asked about a refill. Our food took over an hour to prepare and it took an additional 10 minutes for the last entree to come out after the rest of the table had their food. I do not recommend spending your time or money here.
