State Street Cafe

Such a great cafe. They have the best cafe burger! I enjoy the breakfast options as well. It's always fun to see what baked goods they make for the day as well. If you have a chance to get the blueberry crumble bars, JUMP on it! So delicious!

We had lunch at state street cafe and the food was actually pretty freaking good. Atmosphere was meh… Wait staff was kind and attentive. The lady working was well experienced and she was working hard. Prices were fair, though the prices on their website are much lower than what the prices really are. I really liked how you can sub fries for side salad with no up charge. Side salad was da bomb too! I think we will be back.

The decor was seriously dated and a noticeable sewer odor when entering. This is either from faulty sewer pipe or grease trap issue. Menu was very plain and in black and white. Waitress kept saying how owner was a chef from New York but this not the type of restaurant for a “chef”. The menu and food did not reflect what was being verbally advertised. Finally something as simple as breakfast raises concern. Waitress said bacon would be good choice for my breakfast and bacon is crispy. Then my hunch and years of restaurant experience were right. My bacon was crispy due to it being deep fried in the fryer. Completely disgusting and unhealthy.

We stopped by for breakfast and it was amazing! Some of the best food I've ever had. Amy was a wonderful server, delicious food and affordable prices. We will be back! Thank you for the experience.

Mom and pop shop, HIGHLY recommend! Cafe burger was very satisfying. Had bacon and cheese on it, great size beef patty. Great value. Homemade pie was also great. I will be back!
