Habaneros Mexican Grill

Absolutely outstanding Mexican restaurant in Carthage. Exceeded all expectations. Order: Chorizo Queso Dip Appetizer Burrito Habanero Burrito Puerto Quesa Birria To start things off we were overwhelmed by the menu. So many wonderful choices that sounded delicious. We asked our server Lalo for some guidance and he came through in a big way. Very patiently and enthusiasticly explained how many of the dishes were prepared. Helped us so much with our order. The Chorizo Queso started us off and was excellent. The flavor and texture the sausage added to the cheese was wonderful. Both of the burritos we ordered were unique and flavorful. The Quesa Birria was wonderful. In particular the consomé had such fresh onion and cilantro. The only weak spot for me were the refried beans. Good texture

Came to Habaneros on a recommendation and super glad we did. What a great atmosphere and staff, very friendly and speedy service. Came with a larger group, but the speed of service and food was great. I think the only thing that we were not huge fans of was the street corn, which was more of a parmesan corn, without any other flavor. Everything else was really good, though.

There was a fly in my drink, which really ruined the meal for me. On top of that, the whole place feels completely different now—very Americanized, and the food quality has gone way down. My brother worked here briefly (a long time ago) and mentioned it wasn’t very clean behind the scenes, and honestly, I believe it. The place just doesn’t feel sanitary anymore.

Wow! Great place. I picked it for a business dinner. From the outside, it looked like a quiet, cozy place to discuss business. Boy, was I wrong. The place was booming. Wait, staff rushing happily from table to table taking care of their guests. The food was amazing, and the place had a great vibe. I didn't get a lot of business done, but I will be back with my family every time I'm in the area. Would definitely recommend it.

Seems like quite a different menu from the normal Mexican places. The staff were great! The food was very good and hot! I recommend this place to anyone.
