Gym Tacos food truck

Not the best tacos I've had in the area, but decent. The tacos are pretty good size, and the pastor tasted good, but the asada and pollo were kinda blah. The location isn't great, and while i was waiting for my tacos, other people showed up and pretty much blocked my car in. It's also kinda far from me - if they were closer to the airport, I'd be more likely to go more often. I'll be back, but I probably won't be a regular.

Overall Score – 7.4 Really good experience. The truck looked clean and it’s always there. The parking lot had spots to hang out, but it’s really more of a take-home place. It was busy — and for good reason. The guy taking the order was very nice, helpful, and answered questions. Great service. The menu was easy to understand with both basic tacos and a few extra styles. Pricing was more than fair. The sauces were also really good. Tacos – 7.1 Very good. Decent portion and the quality was there. The sauces definitely helped — the meat was tasty and good quality. Gym Taco – 8.3 Shrimp was juicy and tender. The sauces made it even better. Great price.

This review is for the Gym Taco food truck in Cary. I ordered two carnitas tacos, one taco al pastor, and a carnitas burrito. Unfortunately, the carnitas was served as large pork cubes, which I’ve never seen before and did not resemble traditional carnitas. The pork was dry and lacked flavor, and the burrito contained very little meat. The taco al pastor was ok- meat had flavor but was also dry. I’ve had Gym Tacos from the original food truck in Raleigh and really enjoyed it, which made this experience even more disappointing. The quality and preparation at the Cary location were far from what I expected based on my past experiences. I won’t be returning to this location. It wasn’t worth the 20min drive.

First, let me say that my family and I have supported gyms for years before they had their brick-and-mortar on Hillsborough St! I have never experienced the disrespect that I received tonight. My order was really small, 15.65 to be exact. Took my food to go, and when I got home, I found a hair in my food. ( I've eaten half of my food at this point ) Called and told them exactly what happened. I was asked to bring the food back, and I would receive another plate (why would I trust you twice?). I requested a refund. I returned to the food truck and was told directly that the hair in the food was mine. My hair is in braids, and the accusation against my character is insulting, as if I would do such a thing! Especially when I didn't see apparel being worn to protect the customers from experien

I'm not using the racist issue, but some of us don't speak Spanish. The guy answered the phone, spoke nothing but Spanish, and after all that he messed up the order. And it was close to closing, so when I told them what we needed all he could say was, "we're close." It was barely 10 and just like that, they were closed. Please, get someone that understands English so it can be translated. Very disappointing.
