Waitress was kind and attentive, but we stopped for the advertised best fried chicken, and apparently, it's not in season? Restaurant needed a bit of rehad inside and seating was tight...although there were many issues, the steak sandwich was one of a kind, delicious and the grilled vheese was tasty. Came back a year later n finally got the fried chicken, it was ok, not dry but not moist, seasoning was good. But the cheesesteak sandwich is where its as.
First State Corn & More – Quick Review: 🌽 What to expect: - Casual boardwalk snack stand in Rehoboth Beach, DE - Known for Mexican-style corn in a cup, tacos, and street food ✅ Pros: - Tasty corn cups (some say it's flavorful and fun) - Good location for a quick bite while walking the boardwalk ❌ Cons: - Prices may feel high for portion size - Mixed reviews on food quality (some say tacos are bland) - Wait times can be long during busy hours ⭐ Overall: Good for a quick snack, not a full meal. Try the corn cup — skip the tacos if you're picky.
Best dam fried chicken on the beach. Also probably the best meal deal on the beach at the same time. Mind the seagulls they love Gus's fried chicken too. They will steal a whole drumstick if given the chance. The staff work very hard in a lot of heat so give them a break. They are good people providing you a good meal at a place where you are looking at the ocean while you wait.
I ate here twice in the span of 12 hours. First around 10PM and I scored the last cheeseburger of the day. It was perfectly greasy and delicious, with exactly the toppings I asked for, nice and fresh. I happily strolled the boardwalk with my paper-wrapped treasure. The next day I waited in line at peak lunch hour and made some new friends in the 30 minutes or so it took to get to the window. Cheesesteak and hotdog were right on point for the kids. For me I got a crabcake sandwich and wish I didn't. It was bland and boring, and it lacked the tartar sauce I ordered so I had to go back to get that. It did not help much. I think at times the line of communication between the order taker, the griller and the rest of the staff gets a little strained so keep your order simple. Stick with the basi
Great food for the beach. It's simple and it's light, so you'll have no problem walking across the boardwalk after eating. The fries are freshly cut and cooked so they're delicious. Currently it's CASH ONLY but I didn't see that on their website. I'd go again if I didn't want a heavy meal.
