Gulotta's Pizza

Gullotta’s is a little walk in/take out pizza joint(cash only). I’ve driven past it a million times. We tried it a few weeks ago for the first time and my husband and son swear that this is the best pizza in town!! We went back again last night and had the same results! First time I had the Italian beef and it was flavorful and juicy but the bread… it was crusty and flaky on the outside and fluffy yet dense on the inside. The absolute perfect bread for a juicy sandwich. We also had the lasagna(which I believe is only available on the weekends) and it was fantastic as well. His Grandma’s sauce is splendid(‘Mamma Gulotta’s’ sold at Woodman's). Service was great at this fun, little hole in the wall spot that's obviously a decades old favorite in town. Cash only, but the price was right and the pie was tasty! We took four pizzas home and they fed our crew of 16 easily. I'm only deducting one star for food because the mushrooms are from a jar and I'm picky about that.., but everything else was delicious.

Okay, so the pizza definitely takes the top spot for me in Rockford! I'm definitely looking for more though, the sausage was a bit different from what I'm usually used to seeing. The sauce was great, the cheese was decent, and the pepperoni hit the spot!

First time ordering from here and we really enjoyed the pizza! Nothing fancy about the place at all. Owner was very friendly and talkative. It is a cash only and carryout only business!

Been going since I was 15 years old, now 50+, living in FL. called and so happy they are still in business. One of the best pizzas I grew up, wish I could have the same pizzas every day. Remember your mom, she was such a lovely person. Will make sure I buy a pizza next time I’m in town.
