Guanatos Ice Cream

My favorite ice cream place in the bay area. I grew up nearby and have fond memories of getting ice cream bars and popsicles in bulk and hoarding them in my freezer every summer as a kid.

They have a wide variety of dessert choices like ice cream, fruit bar, milk shakes, etc. We got the Lucuma, and Mazapan scoops and they were delicious! We also got the Piña Colada, Bionico, Frappuccino, and Avocado milkshake and they're all very good. Highly recommended!

They have such a good variety of flavors. I tried their new spaghetti crepes. It was delicious. It’s sliced crepes served with fresh strawberries and bananas drizzled with lechera and chocolate and topped with whipped cream.

Fun ice cream shop with classical flavors and also a mix of very delicious Latin inspired flavors. I tried a new flavor for myself which was the rose pistachio ice cream. This usually comes as two separate flavors but I’m actually a big fan on how it turned out. It’s creamy, has pistachio taste and also a really nice rose aroma. For sure worth the try if you want to be a little adventurous!

Located in Bay Point on Willow Pass. About 5 minutes off of Hwy 4. Guanato's has a small town feeling. Definitely not commercial like BR31. Friendly and helpful staff. You will find classic flavors but this parlor offers many obscure choices. But well known to the Latin palette. Here are a few: - Avocado - Cheese - Corn - Guava - Lucuma - Mazapan - Nasberry - Hibiscus - Tequila If you're unsure the server will offer you a sample taste. Definitely worth the new adventure of trying some different and delicious. Enjoy! rg-
