A real hidden gem! After 4 hours of cycling around the area, my wife and I were looking for refreshments. In the UK we'd have passed numerous pubs in that time, but less so here in New England. Quite by chance we happened across Grumpy's and couldn't have asked for a better watering hole. The venue itself is brimming with character and history, and there's definitely something for everyone! Pool, darts, pinball, arcade games and a wonderful host in Kevin. The drinks seemed really reasonably priced, and I would have happily stayed all day if I could have! There are t many places to choose from around here that have the vibe and soul of Grumpy's, and so if that's what your looking for, this is the place to be! If we are ever in the area again, we'll definitely be stopping by!
We are from out of state and are down here for a small getaway with some friends. We saw this pub listed on yelp and decided to give it a shot. HORRIBLE IDEA. To start, the floors and tables are absolutely disgusting!! The bartender was extremely disrespectful. The appearance of the building pulling up totally fit the Halloween vibes, scary! We will never come back here and if I didn’t order a beer already, we would have left. Don’t come here. If you like friendly and welcoming places, this isn’t the place for you.
Bartender is rude. God forbid you ask about food; they don't have anything other than slim Jim's. Place is dirty gross. It's so loud you can't hear the person next to you even if you lean into them. A bar with out food is just a junky drunk hide a way. The bathroom is nasty. The parking lots a dirt pit. I definitely felt grumpy when I left.
If i could leave negative stars, i would. The whole place is just absolutely disgusting. The floors, the tables, the walls and the attitude of the bartender. My husband and i came down here from VT with some friends to celebrate getting married this past July. We were looking to do some bar hopping, and even after a few drinks, this place is trash. The bathroom is like a porta-potty on crack. I’m actually sitting in the gross smelly booth in the corner of the place as i type feeling like i have things crawling on me. If you aren’t 45+ don’t come here, the looks these people will give you is just straight up rude. I asked for a vodka lemonade and the bartender laughed in my face and said they don’t have lemonade. Okay no problem that’s all you had to say. But just so you all know, the tiny
We had a great time grabbing a few drinks on the way home. Great atmosphere, nice service. If I lived here this would be my daily.
