Sorry no photos, but it was amazing! I have had this spot on the list to visit for awhile after seeing a video for the original location and seeing the portions. We were low-key worried when we pulled up to the outpost here but Grindz was the only place operating and open and the guy taking our order was nice and helpful with suggestions! My partner and I both got combo plates. He got Teppan Steak + Laulau and I got Teri chicken + Teppen steak. Meat was nice and moist, full of flavor and the rice was perfect. Partner really enjoyed the crab potato salad and he is hard to please with any potato salad! We brought a friend from out of state who never really had any Hawaiian food and he got the Katsu mini and loved it! Said the sauce was perfectly sweet and the Katsu was good. Glad we could
I love Hawaiian food and try to find new spots whenever I can. This spot definitely takes the cake, without question. Hawaiian food, at most places, kind of gets repetitive. A lot of places taste the same, in my opinion. They all might have some small variations to a dish but nothing too exciting. This spot though, has it on lock. I’m definitely a sauce guy. Love my sauces. Hate dry food. Here, they make sure it’s properly sauced and well seasoned. I got the dynamite chicken katsu (HIGHLY recommend), with half rice and half noodles. Recommend just getting the noodles. It’s got a bomb wasabi cream sauce and some sriracha. The wasabi sauce alone is different from anywhere I’ve seen and tastes so good. Also got a side of poke with half shoyu and half mayo/wasabi(?) which came with a side of k
The food served at this establishment is of high quality, sizeable portion, and fair price. On top of the excellent food, the service is appreciable and the staff always have a positive attitude when taking your order. I could not recommend this place highly enough, and I encourage anyone to eat here!
A little hole in the wall, But good food. Best for carry out. Probably the best fried noodles here. Also Lau Lau, squid luau, and chicken long rice.
The cashier was so kind. The atmosphere from the outside of the building looked shady, but it was super safe. And the food is so good I got the dynamite ahi katsu and it takes just like the one I had back in Hawaii oh my gosh it was so good! It felt so warm and welcoming, this place deserves so much attention. They put on some island music and while waiting it was so nice.
