Grilled Cheese Mania

Such a cute little shop and everyone’s so friendly! We got the port ruby to go. The bread is toasted nice and crispy, we loved the mushroom and cheese combo but felt like the sauerkraut was a bit weird warm. We are definitely open to coming back and trying other options. Overall great experience!!

I set course for Grilled Cheese Mania when I was about 80 miles away and looked ahead to see what vegan-friendly spots may be good to stop at in Harrisonburg, and I thought that this place seemed like it’d be tasty. It’s awesome that they do offer vegan options with vegan cheese and butter, but I was underwhelmed by the sandwich. I at least was reassured that I indeed get the vegan version…by the fact that the cheese wasn’t really melted, as grilled cheese is supposed to be. But I know that the vegan cheese that they say they use DOES melt. So this really just needed to have been cooked longer, and the bread didn’t really have that yummy grilled quality (it looks in the pic like it did more than it did), either. What a great, fun little restaurant. We stopped in for lunch while on a long road trip. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Great friendly and attentive staff. I had the Maniac double decker grilled cheese sandwich which was over the top! I could only eat half and I'm usually a big eater. Their Strawberry Lemonade was the best ever! I saw a younger customer devouring a quart of their mac&cheese and it looked really really good. We will definitely stop in again when passing through.

We were in town and found Grill Cheese Mania. We ordered The Maniac, Triple Linndy, Mama Mania and a Winter Special/Chicken Parm Grilled Cheese! We absolutely loved the entire experience. The ordering, talking to the owner, the fantastic food, everything was great! We will definitely be coming back every time we pass through!!

Took some food to go for the family. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially the kids with their kids meals. I had the buffalo chicken melt and it was great! The added horseradish dip was a good add-on. The person handling our to go order was extremely nice, even covered our food with extra foil because of the rain.
