As a local real estate professional licensed in MD, DC, and VA, my work takes me all over the place. One day, after spending the entire day working with a local developer, I was completely exhausted and hadn’t eaten a thing. I needed something quick, so I ended up at a shopping center nearby. I started looking for a restaurant and stumbled upon one tucked away in the back. I decided to check it out—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made! The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned, not to mention very reasonably priced. The owner was incredibly kind, and I jokingly told him, "I’ll leave a review—only if the food is good!" He laughed and said, "No problem, but only if you like it!" The little green salsa!! Omgosh!! It's great!! I felt energized after this late lunch. I had the number 13. It was good. Chicken and beef. Good on seasoning!! Bread was crunchy too!!

I’ve always seen this place, but I never really took the time to try it and I did today. It was great. The food portions are generous, and the food was so yummy I loved it definitely recommend giving it a try!!

Grill Kabob Xpress is honestly one of the best Afghan restaurants I’ve tried in Virginia. The food tastes fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The kabobs are cooked perfectly tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. Their qabili palaw is amazing… soft lamb, long-grain rice, sweet carrots and raisins exactly like home-style Afghan cooking. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the plates look beautiful. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and the service is fast. Even though it’s a casual spot, the quality of the food is truly 5-star.
