Great White Fish Chicken

One of the best places to get gizzards at! Wish they had a location closer to me, but I still go there when I'm in town. Chicken is always well portioned and so juicy & flavorful. I definitely recommend them to any and everyone! Must try! The livers were okay, didn't have the flavor I wanted, not sure why, but I still ate most of them for the iron. Fries always crispy & delicious! (Not pictured: chicken fingers & fries, onion rings & hush puppies) Didn't try the chicken fingers but my kids said they were delicious and juicy, didn't try onion rings but they were large and crunchy, said to be very good! The hush puppies were crispy on the outside, hot, flavorful and soft on the inside, not too dry either, very tasty!

Every trip to GRR means perch, fries, and shrimp — it’s basically a ritual at this point. The whiting dinners? Bless their hearts 😆. Prices are on point, though! And yes… I couldn’t wait for the picture. Priorities 😂

I used to frequent this restaurant often. I moved from the area, so I haven’t visited in a year or so. I ordered through the app. When I arrived, the kid at the counter seemed unsure if my order was the one sitting half wrapped on the counter behind him. I asked because the pan looked pretty loaded for it to be a 20 piece whole wing order. He assured it was mine. After handing over my card, I look at the order, & it’s a bunch of thighs and drumsticks. I told him that’s not what I ordered and he calls another worker over. They advised me to wait, and they will remake my order. Mind you, I have other items. in the bag as well. So I oblige,even though I have my young children with me. I sat & waited 30 MINUTES. 30. If your going for gizzards they do not boil them first they are chewy and disappointing when the batter has good flavor. Also they coleslaw taste like it’s been put through food processor twice mush no crunch.

You'd think a place like this would be amazing. Unfortunately from my experience, it was very disappointing. The cheese sticks were not fried long enough, the mushrooms had no flavor, and worst of all... the chicken livers I ordered were bland and taste very strong. I love chicken livers, and these were just not that good. Overall disappointing experience.
