I first ordered from Lauren six years ago for my son’s 1st birthday. It was before her bakery officially opened, and I was absolutely shocked when I went to pick up his cake and cupcakes for his party. They were so beautiful and special — more than I ever could’ve expected. You could feel the care and love she put into them. Not to mention, she’s also a mother, and you could see so clearly how hard she was working at being two of the things that meant the most to her — a mother and a baker. A couple of years later, her bakery opened, and I was so excited for her. Every time I make my way into her bakery, it feels like the most special treat. The atmosphere, the staff, the pastries, cookies, and cakes — all of it. It’s seriously so special. Supporting places and people like this is so im
My wife and I discovered Grain a few years back and we were so impressed that we used them for our wedding. To this day its still the best german chocolate cake ive ever had. The food is so good that when we fly home to the West Coast this is always a stop on our list to stock up. Place is small, yet intimate. The bakery items are fresh made and absolutely delicious and made with the best ingredients as well as being gluten free so if you are a tight wad looking for a frosted donut drag your butt to Dunkin Donuts. If you want an amazing bakery experience, find your self a chair and order up!!!
Grain Artisan Bakery has been an important part of our family celebrations since they opened their brick and mortar in Snohomish back in 2020. Lauren has always crafted the highest quality baked goods with the best local ingredients. And while the prices of these goods may seem on the high end of things, she has always been transparent about why. She sources her ingredients from small farms and dairies. Her gluten free flour is the highest quality and isn’t something you just bulk order at Costco. Her goods reflect this quality and are absolutely worth the price. Grain is also a cornerstone of the Snohomish community. They are people’s regular coffee spot, the place to grab a quick treat, and the place where people order their special celebration treats. WORTH. EVERY. CENT. We found Grain before they had a storefront - they made our cakes (yes plural because we couldn't settle on just one flavor so we had a cake table before cake tables were cool) for our wedding and we've been devout followers ever since. We live on the east coast and make it a point to drive 40 minutes every time we visit our west coast family just to load up on goodies from Grain to enjoy during our stay. Their storefront reflects all that they stand for - a place of community, safety, and comfort. A place that feels almost Nordic in its atmosphere as it is welcoming and inviting for children and doesn't feel like a place they will be seen as a nuisance. My son loves to play with their toys (hello? how many bakery and coffee shops do you visit actually have corner dedic
This is hands down, the BEST bakery around and not just for gluten free! And the best part? All you have to do is ASK THEM HOW MUCH STUFF COSTS and they’ll happily tell you! In the age where chain places charge $10 for a cup of mediocre coffee, I’m more than happy to pay for high-quality, amazing gluten free baked goods. I drive out weekly from Kirkland to indulge. The staff is friendly and always smiling, the owner is super nice, and like I said, the products are the best I’ve found.
