We had an amazing stay at Goodhart's Inn! This was our first trip to the Grand Canyon area so we were not familiar with any specific locations. Laura helped make our visit relaxing and stress-free as she had a list of hiking trails, bike trails, and other kayaking destinations available upon arrival. She was also extremely helpful in suggesting what trails to take. Our room was extremely clean. What makes this house stand out is its victorian decor! It's high ceilings, wooden floors have a vintage feel that brings you back in time. It's about a 5-minute walk from the main restaurants in town. We will definitely be going back.
We stayed at the Inn for 4 days and 3 nights. The entire Inn was impeccable. Everything was organized and we had use of the kitchen which was a bonus because if we ate out at night we could bring our leftovers back. The recommendations from Laura on the local trails was spot on. We hiked to the Sand Run Falls, and did the Turkey Path as well as some of the Pine Gorge Trail. Area is beautiful and it certainly helps to have Innkeepers like Jeff and Laura. Thanks again for a great stay!
My wife and I wanted a Covid-careful getaway for the Fourth of July so we considered areas that were, for us, a little out of the way. Wellsboro and the "Grand Canyon" of Pennsylvania fit the description and we made our plan, choosing Goodhart's Inn as our base. The ride was easy, less than 3.5 hours from the Philadelphia area and entirely worth it. The Goodhart's Inn was a very good choice. Laura and Jeff have made it very interesting and very comfortable. Our room and bath were nice and clean and the various amenities i.e. water, snacks, coffee(!!), fruit, chocolates, were a really nice touch. Laura welcomed us to the house with information and brochures and was a font of knowledge of places to visit, places to eat and things to see, even handwriting out helpful instructions on how to fi
I've never done a bed and breakfast before, and I have to say I was extremely happy. It's like a home away from home. Benefits include 15 dollars in chamber bucks for use at many restaurants per night. Our hostess also provided water, fruit and granola bars for our hikes. The house is decorated in antique period furniture., The bed was comfy, we had a private bath and use of inside and outside areas.
We just returned from this lovely Inn. It was quite comfortable and clean. Laura and Jeff were great hosts and full of information of where to eat, things to do, and not to mention, attentive to our needs. Loved the Victorian decor. We will definitely be back. Debby Brown
