Goodbread House

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Goodbread Bed and Breakfast, and it exceeded all my expectations! The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk away from all the local attractions, restaurants, and shops, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. Mardja, the host, was one of the highlights of my stay. She was exceptionally accommodating and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure that I felt at home. Her warm hospitality truly made my experience special. Overall, Goodbread Bed and Breakfast is a charming and delightful place to stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming escape. I can't wait to return!

This is a very eclectic establishment. The antique furniture is real so don’t expect new plush sofas in the common areas. The decor was well matched to the theme of each room. Breakfast was plentiful for us consisting of a yummy frittata, yoghurt and fruit parfait, and some really goodbread containing pear and nuts. When we arrived we were greeted with goblets for our choice of red, or chilled white wine, and slices of delicious chocolate cake.|We stayed in the Bogey and Bacall room which had different levels of flooring and a small kitchenette. The room was pretty well supplied with towels, pillows, blankets and toiletries. Water pressure in the shower was pretty good.|A few things that we’d like to see addressed are getting the exhaust fan in the bathroom operational, and replacing a bur

Beautiful place! The owner, Madja, went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The rooms are decorated beautifully! Mattress was so so so comfy, very clean, and the water is hot! Breakfast was outstanding! Highly recommend!

Our stay at Goodbread house was wonderful , the hostess was friendly , knowledgable about the area and so pleasant to converse with. Made arrival and departure seamless . Rooms were large and comfortable and the house was within walking distance to everything . The town of St Mary’s is very quaint and quiet and everyone seemed so friendly - definitely be taking another trip back to the Goodbread House !

We were very pleased with our stay at the Goodbread House. Margda was a very gracious hostess. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant by offering suggestions on restaurants, things to do, and offering us the use of her golf cart to enjoy the town. Breakfast was wonderful each morning with a different option. Thank you, Margda, we appreciate you adding such comfort to our vacation!
