Golden Fig Café and Bakery

We went for brunch and got the kofta platter, lamb merguez platter, baklava and some pastries and everything was spectacular! the platters were filling with rice, perfectly seasoned grilled veggies, pita and salad. the balaclava is the best I've ever had. It wasn't soggy, held its shape and was sweet and perfectly crunchy. Their salmon quiche was also amazing. I can't wait to go back and get their kofta soufflé and try the beef shawarma. Staff was super friendly. Amazing find!!

We came all the way from Baltimore to Golden Fig, and it absolutely did not disappoint. We tried the Algerian pizza and Algerian Coke both were incredibly delicious. Everything was handmade, the place was spotless, well organized, and super clean. The owners were extremely kind and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!

A lovely family-run spot with warm service and authentic food. The merguez sandwich is a must-try, and their homemade sweets Algerian, French, and Mediterranean are absolutely delicious. Perfect location too and prices are reasonable!

Chefs Tahar and Jamila’s sweet and savory pastries have been legendary in the DMV farmers market scene for years now. Their baklawa, in particular, as unbelievable. Their new brick-and-mortar cafe is just as good, but now features lunch platters, like merguez and kofta, too! An amazing addition to the area.

I recently had an exceptional experience at this family owned coffee shop. I highly recommend. The combination of delicious and affordable priced food. Their French chicken tacos and vegetarian pizza were delicious and a lovely ambiance made it stand out. Djamila and her daughter in law provided a remarkable service, making the event even more enjoyable.
