Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

The food was hot and fresh, pot roast nicely seasoned, green beans and corn were good. Fried chicken, good crunch, moist and tender meat. Fried orka has nice crunch, not over cooked or greasy. Oatmeal raisin cookies, were delicious . The only annoying thing was the hypersonic type sound from alarms going off, sounding like a bad hearing aid.. it appeared the employees were oblivious to it, but it did ruin the other wise nice atmosphere.

So we love some Golden Corral but when you call them it gives a different price then what we’re paying. I went today and the phone call said Monday thru Friday lunch was 11.99 before taxes per person. I was like cool I won’t be broke, well we get there n I’m spending almost $13 a person plus almost $4 for drinks. I don’t mind cuz it’s a nice atmosphere and food but yall need to change ur automatic answering machine to the correct prices cuz I was under the impression that I was spending 12 a person. Not 13. (Ik it’s not that big a deal but it is when ur struggling n can barely afford anything I go out once a month to remind myself I’m human and not a robot who works n comes home.

The gentleman working in our seating area was very nice. He removed our dirty plates quickly and refilled our drinks. He had some regulars that came in to eat and talked with them. The food was very good.

January 3, 2026 A sincere thank you to everyone working, this afternoon. I bragged to who I assume was the Manager, due to his red shirt, what a great staff he has. From the Hostess greeting us at the door & taking time to explain drink service changes then making sure I was able to bust a bill down for tipping, the gentleman who kindly busted the bill, and to those working the various stations... excellent customer service. Our Server, Jamie E., was great. She turned what was already a treat into a memorable experience. She has a great personality, was quick to refill drinks & clear plates while cleaning the area making it ready for the next guests. Lamar, the Grillman, is the star of the show! We visited this location and compared to the one we eat at in Greenwood, IN, this location is a prime example of how a Golden Corral should be. From the time we entered, to the time we left. The lady at the register was super nice. We were there for Saturday morning breakfast. No wait. The lady doing omlets was great. Our waiter was excellent and every other staff member was so friendly. We were even spoken to by staff upon exit. The restaurant was super clean which is rare to find at a Golden Corral. The food had really good choices and was fresh and hot. We were offered coffee from the waiter. This was a great start to one of our many exploration trips to Louisville. Thank you for being a great experience where we felt at home.
