Golden Bowl

Hands down the BEST Chinese food in the midwest. The portions are huge, the food is fresh, super fast service, and Rose (the owner) is the kindest and sweetest soul you'll ever meet. She knows my name, my order, and always asks how my friends and family are doing. I've been coming to Golden Bowl since 2013, so I've eaten quite a few things on the menu. My top picks are pot stickers, cashew chicken, and sesame chicken.

This is another place where I wasn’t sure if it would be good or not. The lobby was kind of gross with soda stacked, bottles of water stacked and a few dirty tables. The service was alright . The server was neither friendly nor rude, just straight to the point. They did bring some additional rice without me asking, which was a nice touch. The food was really good. Cooked to order, tasty and spicy (just like i wanted). Some of the regulars were in there and they seemed like it was a regular thing. Their kids were running around the restaurant and yelling. Not holding that against the place but they could’ve said something. I’d recommend!

The large shrimp are lightly breaded and crispy, while smothered in a honey glaze sauce and topped with toasted walnuts. Fantastic dish! Rose is always a sweetheart when I come in, I just wish the location was better!

10/10 recommend Golden Bowl. The sesame chicken is our favorite! The food is always made to order, fresh and super tasty! Great staff and always clean.
