Stopped into Gold Star Coffee on John’s Island, SC and it’s exactly the kind of place you hope to find when you’re searching for a great local coffee shop - i was obsessed! The cortado was excellent, smooth, balanced, and perfectly pulled. We also had the breakfast burrito, which was hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with care, a great grab-and-go option that still feels like a real meal. Beyond the food and coffee, Gold Star Coffee has an awesome assortment of well-curated products, from specialty goods to thoughtful pantry items that make it more than just a café stop. If you’re looking for great coffee on John’s Island, a solid breakfast, and a shop with personality, Gold Star Coffee is absolutely worth a visit. Plus the owner was super nice and welcoming!

Truly, the best, freshly ground excellent quality coffee. The multi pack variety packs are a Great deal given the bags are a full pound. We particularly enjoy the Kona and Jamaican coffee, but we’ve never had anything from Goldstar that was not top shelf
