⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in Grand Rapids! If you haven’t been to Gladys’ Grille yet—run, don’t walk. This little neighborhood spot is serving up the kind of food that feels like a warm hug and fresh morning sunshine all rolled into one. The chicken and waffles? Crispy, golden perfection with just the right touch of sweetness. The honey chicken biscuit? Out of this world—comfort food taken to a whole new level. And don’t even get me started on Soul food Sunday pure happiness on a plate.. or until it sells out.. It’s clear every plate comes from the heart. This is home cooking the way it should be—flavorful, soulful, and made with love. Gladys’ Grille may be starting out slow, but trust me: it’s only a matter of time before the line is out the door. Do yourself (and your tastebuds) a favor

Their biscuits and sausage gravy are next level with rich flavor, just the right kick, fantastic texture wrapped in buttery comfort. If you’re craving food that nourishes both the body and soul, Gladys’ Grille is a must visit. Whether you’re there for a weekend brunch or a cozy lunch, you’re in for warm service, unforgettable classics, and a true sense of community. 5/5

Real food from real people using real recipes. I take my food serious, and growing up in Detroit, I have the highest reverence for soul food. The family was right out front standing proud on what they served, and it was obvious that with every plate of food comes a whole bunch of love. I'll be back, a lot.

I have never been so warmly welcomed to a restaurant in my life! Jessica and Stephanie and the whole staff were so warm and friendly, and the food was sensational. I had meatloaf and Mac and cheese ... Scrumptious. We came on a Sunday where you can pick a meat and two sides from their soul food menu. I will be back on a Sunday for the soul food and will try and hit it on another day for their regular menu. Many people were there to get takeout, which is a great idea, but bring your own reusable bag if you want to skip the plastic route. Really, a special place full of heart and soul! Our host sons from China and Korea loved the food, too, especially the catfish, which my husband raved about on a previous visit.

Went for a solo breakfast (Not my first time, first time was for lunch). Ordered the Sunday big breakfast. The pancakes were terrible. One bite and left the rest. Hard to mess up bacon and eggs, so I ate those. The potatoes were not like any style of breakfast potatoes I've ever had. Seems like they served me dinner potatoes from the day before. It's not for me. Don't take my word for it though... Go check it out for yourself!
