Giuseppe's Cucina Italiana

It was Valentines Day, with the man I know I will be spending the rest of my life with - the one ingredient required - LOVE. We agreed to Giuseppe's. A place he described to me as a life changing experience. He put our name on the list, 3 1/2 hour wait. Oh, spend the evening killing time with my person, easy. Made our way to Hot Shots, window shopped, and walked the pier while enjoying some chocolate. We head back as the time nears. I ordered Frutta di Mare. It didn’t feel like dinner. It felt like a pause — warm, simple, and unexpectedly soothing. More than a meal, it was a moment… the kind that makes you slow down without trying. In a wold full of chaos and living in a fast pace, it was healing to slow down, quiet my mind and just enjoy. Thank you Giuseppe's for giving me a Valentine’

Best lunch in a long time that started out with a great young man Isaiah offering us water. What a polite young man! We shared a Caesar salad that was cold and crisp with the perfect amount of dressing. This was paired with bread with a balsamic/ cheese spread. The chicken lunch special, chicken paillard, was a no carb fabulous combination of veggies and an acidic sauce. Wonderful! We will be back!

This is the review of two meals. One meal was meatball spaghetti while the other was butternut squash ravioli. The meatball spaghetti was delicious with the marinara sauce being thick and very flavorful. The bread was so good we had two servings of it. Also, the Diet Pepsi refills flowed freely and timely. The service was great, superb actually. The atmosphere was wonderful with the facility being clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was spotless. The problem was the meal my girlfriend had. She literally had 7 pieces of the sorryest ravioli on Earth. (Look at the included photograph) Also, the sauce was just not good. It was a total disappointment. It was pathetic and each individual ravioli cost $3.00. When we left we went to another restaurant less than 2 hours later and ate

The calamari appetizer was delicious and incredibly fresh, served in a unique way I hadn’t seen before. The chicken parmesan was tasty and perfectly portioned. Our whole family enjoyed the meals they were served. I’m only sad it took us this long to try the restaurant— we’ll definitely be making it one of our go-to spots in the future!

Everything we ate and drank was 10/10. Staff is attentive and friendly. Highly recommend if your visiting Pismo Beach or driving by.
