We stopped here to try the famous garlic shrimp. Line wasn't too bad Cool vibe lots of reggae in the air. Shrimp was tasty, very garlicky but peel on. Definitely get the hot sauce. Good portions. Beautiful day in Halewia 🌈🤙🏼

Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck on the North Shore is one of those places you hear about nonstop so expectations are naturally high. Parking is $2 and the lot fills up fast so timing matters. There are plenty of other food trucks nearby which adds to the busy fun atmosphere and makes it feel like a full food stop instead of just one truck. Each plate runs $17.50 and comes on a basic paper plate with two scoops of rice and about ten shrimp. It is simple no frills and very much about the shrimp. Unfortunately the garlic was not very crispy and the overall flavor did not live up to the hype. It was fine but nothing memorable and definitely not crave worthy. Good food. Decent value for the price $17.50. The lemon butter is great. The garlic is also amazing. The hot and spicy is ok but the sauce is not the greatest. Overwhelmingly spicy with no actual flavor. So not worth it to me. The place so super crowded and lines cane be long at times but it moves quite quickly.
