Customer Reviews
When you go to Gil's Goods you're always assured of fresh flavors, great baked goods, and great service. The Cubano with a Greek salad is a fantastic pairing. I always grab a baguette for the road, and their Pot de crème is the perfect to-go dessert.
Epic! as we all know, Gil’s goods restaurant and the Murray bar is outstanding in customer service skills as well as the food. So much heart is put into this place!☀️💌 The employees! the owners ! all of it in one is just the kind of place you want to eat and be! The owner and Cook Chris, he continuously strives to make sure that all the customers are pleased. And satisfied with their meals it’s a beautiful open space with garage doors that open up to bring in light and air. It’s very family oriented. And you feel at home here.
What a cool little bistro! Exposed brick walls, nice vibe, and the creamy tomato soup with Parmesan cheese I ordered was delicious. It came with a couple of slices of baguette seasoned with everything bagel seasoning. The food came out with lightening speed. I highly recommend this place!
We went in. Around 1pm on a Tuesday. All of the front room was full so we were sat in the bar area. The lighting is dim. The bathrooms are also very dark and cramped. Condom dispensers in the bathrooms and chalk messages drawn ALL OVER the bathroom walls. NOT family friendly. Our server walked past several times before stopping to take our drink order and give us menus. Then took a while to come back and take our meal order. The cold cut combo is ordered was pretty good, everyone else at the table seemed unimpressed. Pretty sure the foccacia is made in-house. Once we were done I had to call our a server over to get our check. Then took his time chit-chatting with other people ( staff and what looked like buddies at the bar, not his customers), while he had our card.
The best experience possible! That carrot ginger soup is so creative and super delicious! I will try making it at home. Both wood fired pizzas are fantastic , especially the Greek lamb one. Gelato and sieve and coffee cakes are all great! Service was a bit slow due to large crowd but without us complaining at all, they gave us a bit discount when we order ice cream and dessert later!
