Gia Italian Restaurant

Had a great time! Food was good, service was great. We got the baked ziti and a calzone and we were well fed! I know that other people have posted that the ingredients weren’t *fancy*, but really, who cares? It was very *fresh* and very good tasting, and that’s what really matters.

When I go out to a restaurant, I expect food better than what I could make myself at home in my kitchen. Honestly, I could do a lot better myself, and I'm by no means a professional chef. The house salad was small, looked quickly thrown together, and used iceberg lettuce- the cheapest of the cheap. The calamari was soggy, broccoli was used as a "filler" to make up for the fact that very few calamari are actually on your plate for $13, and the sauce served with it was barely warm. Never once did the waitress ask how things were. The tortellini dish was decent, however the tortellini tasted like it was something pulled out of the freezer and just boiled up. I could do that at home for a lot less than $14. Here's some advice. Cut your menu in half and concentrate on a few dishes that

Haven’t been in years and so pleasantly surprised. The food was great! We tried pizza, calzone, and pasta. On top of it all, the service was perfect. Chelsea took great care of us… she’s a true gem!

Having a hard time with this one. Very mixed feelings about multiple aspects. Some food really good, some pretty good, some a little disappointing. Service, some good some a little lacking. -- Appearance & Service was nice with a pleasant atmosphere and acceptable comfort. This is right outside the "lake" so pretty busy with family dining and can be a little loud. Wait staff seemed fairly attentive and service was provided, though some aspects came off as deficient. Drinks and food where constantly served to the wrong person at the table requiring a lot of reshuffling. Even when trying to direct the server to the correct placement, indications were ignored and still mis-served. We like this place. If you like Italian and some American cuisine this is the spot. They offer take out. From pizza , sandwiches, daily specials, lunch & dinner entrees, a big menu. You can always find something with pastas and a variety off proteins. There is a bar also, tables, booths and seasonal outdoor dining. A local hangout with consistent food quality. Good food and service at a reasonable price, give it a try.
