Georgetown Township Public Library

Always a great experience. Lovely, calm atmosphere, helpful staff, self-checkout options for when I don't want to be disturbed from my own little world, and typically has whatever I need in stock and ready for me. Very flexible and timely with electronic selections, stock from neighboring libraries, and a comprehensive online portal with every resource in existence.

We enjoy this library, and go weekly; this review is based on a particular incident. We had spilled coffee next to a library book, and a little bit splashed on the side of the book and on the page that was open at the time (see images). I take responsibility for that, and would expect to pay a damage fine. However, the librarian insisted that this book would have to be thrown out, and could not be put back into circulation, meaning we had to buy/replace the book. I sincerely hope they aren’t truly that wasteful; this book was completely readable, and a note of the damage could be placed in the front, as I often see in other books from the library. Again, I don’t dispute there should be consequences for damaging a book, but the idea that this book is ruined is preposterous.

Georgetown Township public library (GTPL) has the best events! This past weekend was their first mini-Comicon and it was so fun! A great, free event for kids! There are sooooooo many things packed into this stunningly redesigned library. There are also games to borrow, classes to take, and a bunch of other great secrets (not to mention the free, spring seed sharing packets!!!!). Fantastic staff who loves what they do!! 💜

nice space, window views, friendly people. but trying to work here and internet is painfully slow. fast internet please!

What's not to love about the library! The kids book section is one of the best things about it, and there are always new things to learn and read. 10/10!
