Generoso Pizza

I've been coming to Generoso's for at least 8 years for there delicious pizza slices. So recently I wanted something other the pizza. So orderd there gyro and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was recommended to try their burgers and they are amazing as well.

I ordered a deep-dish pizza with sausage from Generoso, and the experience was a bit different than what I expected. The pizza was definitely thicker, but it wasn’t a traditional deep dish or stuffed-style pizza. It felt more like a thick, regular crust pizza with a heavy amount of cheese rather than a true Chicago-style deep dish. If you’re expecting something closer to a stuffed or classic deep dish, this might not be what you have in mind. Overall, the pizza didn’t really hit for me. The cheese was very heavy and not particularly flavorful, and the sausage was a bit greasy and didn’t stand out. Love this place. WHOEVER cut the pizza dimond shaped. Make it a thing cheese pull is easier. Slanted cut def better then regular squares

Very good slice. Sauce was good, not sweet. One of the things I like is sauce that isn't loaded with sugar. Toppings were heavy, but not overwhelming. A good balance of flavors. The crust was thick enough to support the plentiful toppings. The crust was chewy. A little crispness or char would have made it close to perfect, but still a very good slice. The server/counter person was very cool, friendly and helpful.

Been coming here for a very long time. One of the best pizza spots around. Buffalo chicken pizza here is in the top 3 in the Chicago land area my opinion
