Gen Thai Street Food

Wow, my new favorite thai place, when I am not in Thailand! The Tom Yum soup was soon fresh, it was like being back in Thailand! I has the Cashew nut and the flavor was better then my old favorite 😍. The Crab Pad Thai had fresh crab, amazing. I'll be back very soon for more, I want to try everything. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Delicious food! Great service! Will definitely be back! The wings were very flavorful, the yellow curry was amazing, and the chicken house fried rice was tasty. Loved how fresh the mango sticky rice was. Lastly the Thai Tea was delicious, lots of flavor as well as I’ve had bland ones before, this was great! Also week days they have a $3 Thai tea and spring roll combo add on to any entree, totally worth it!

Ordered takeout for Beef Pad See Ew and chicken pad Thai. Price was also cheaper than other places in Santee! I like how you can order online directly on their website. Pretty easy to navigate and can omit or add proteins or sides to it. Pickup was a breeze, food was ready in 15 mins. Pad Thai Chicken : the noodles had a good texture and the dish itself was not dry. It tasted really good and was cooked to my liking! One of my gripes with Pad Thai is when a place does not add enough sauce to the point where the noodles are stuck to each other. Gen Thai has a good ratio of noodles and sauce. Very Delicious! Pad See Ew: this was my favorite! The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce they used was so good! Perfectly sauced again and the beef was cooked to my liking. Would get a

Okay, what just happened... this food was amazing! I RARELY leave 5 star reviews but Gen Thai Street Food absolutely deserves it. We got the Pad Thai (my go-to and litmus test for Thai food) as well as the basil chicken (never had it before). The pad Thai was great even if it was just the slightest bit drier than what I would call perfect, the flavor was on point. The basil chicken- highly, highly recommend! Instant staple dish. It was crispy and flavorful even after having it delivered. Also had the papaya salad which was a great side dish, and it was quite a bit cheaper than what I've seen before. Prices are solid; $12 - $13 for a healthy sized serving which will serve as lunch tomorrow. Recommend with enthusiasm!

The food here is delicious and very affordably priced. We tried the chicken larb (no spice since we have kids), tom kha soup, coconut shrimp, beef pad Thai, and mango sticky rice. Everything tasted fresh and it seems like they use good quality ingredients. Everything was cooked well and seasoned well. We will definitely be coming back!
