Gavilan Bar & Restaurant

We traveled 2 hours for this restaurant. The best food in town! We know good Guatemalan food and believe me, this place is great. We could hear the chef making the tortillas in the kitchen. What a treat! The entire restaurant and restrooms were very clean. We would definitely make the 2 hour drive again. We are definitely taking food home with us.

I went out with 2 people and we had a very bad customer service experience here and the food was bland, the portions were small for the pricing I could’ve honestly made this at home for sure also the ladies that work there are very rude and they tried to gaslight what we ordered when we know we ordered the right things and they laughed at our faces… I’m not even joking. I’m being so honest. I honestly should’ve read the reviews before even coming in but that’s on me lol. Also when they messed up our order the lady that took our original order went to the back to gossip about us and never came back and we heard it loud and clear since we were all Hispanic and so another lady came and told us what was wrong and etc … I don’t recommend anyone coming here… honestly this place is more for peopl

Took about 45 minutes to get 3/three/tres pupusas from when I ordered to when I received them, and there were only about 5 customers in the restaurant, ridiculous 😑

I came to this restaurant as I wanted to try the cultural food of the country Guatemala, I was utterly disappointed. All of the food me and others there with me were covered in mayonnaise. And my friends son had a shrimp soup, and he ended up choking on them because it had the shell still on it. The service there terrible, I kept on having to correct my server for all her idiotic mistakes. I believe their was no air conditioning as it was very humid inside. And in the bathroom their was a window that you could very clearly see through which I did not feel comfortable with at all. And the overall food was just bad.
