My child had a game on the area so I stopped here for what I thought would be good bbq. Oh was I so wrong. This was a big mistake and a bigger waste of money. I ordered a one meat plate with chopped beef, baked beans and potato salad. First problem is that I've never gone to any bbq spot in Texas where a one meat plate is not just that. I received a chop beef sandwich plate. I took it back and told them that I received the wrong thing. They told me all one meat plates they put on a bun. I'm like wth if I wanted a sandwich that's what I would've ordered. They offered to take it off the bun. I'm like I could do that. Nothing had flavor. The meat was bland. The beans straight out the can. The potato salad was flavorless. I guess it's one of those places where all the flavor comes from the bbq

I will say Gator Pit BBQ has a Insane Portion Size for the potatoe which is outstanding but for me meat should been smoked just a tad bit longer to capture a more smokey flavor. Also the atmosphere could use a little bit more lively feel. But other that I would definitely go back and try some more menu items 😋 Thank you Gator Pit BBQ for good food and service

I tried the 2 meat potato with chopped beef and smoked turkey breast. The pictures don't do the potato justice. These potatoes are huge and stuffed with tender, juicy, smoke flavored meat and the meat lasts throughout the entire potato. I also tried the rib sandwich but I honestly wasn't impressed with the size of the sandwich, the quality of the ribs or the flavor of the ribs. Especially for $14. Be prepared for a 35 to 45 minute wait if you don't order ahead.There is limited parking so be prepared for that also.

When you walk in no one greets you I ordered a rib sandwich and a chop beef which most places don't mess up a chop beef, the ribs were burnt and tasted like they were boiled. Also, the chop beef was so dry It scratched my throat as it was going down. So sadly to say I will not return back to this place again

The last time I had food from here, was ten years ago. In all honesty, I was surprised it's still in business. Don't get me wrong. The food is great. As small as they are. It surprised me that they didn't close during COVID. So I was pleasantly surprised to find out, they're still in business and going strong. Troy C.
