GastroPUB Nisei Bar & Grill

I came here recently for a late lunch with my friend and it was worth it. We ordered a few things to share - Gyudon Philly (w/ Truffle fries), Wagyu Truffle burger (w/ furikake fries), and an order of chicken wings. I really liked how the gyudon Philly tasted as they did a good job of incorporating the ingredients. The wagyu Truffle had a great flavor profile to it. I don't think you can go wrong when there's Truffle involved. The wings were fried perfectly and came with an assortment of dipping sauces. We also had a couple of cocktails to go with the meal. If you’re looking for drinks and possibly some small Asian dishes to complement your beverage, this is the place to be. One great thing about this spot is that you can also come here to grab a drink if you’re waiting for some people or a reservation at another restaurant in this complex. Parking is difficult so why not stay in the area instead of going somewhere else. Imagine a reconstructed bar where instead of just regular bar food and regular drinks, it’s been upgraded to have a quality alcohol selection to accompany your Asian style bar foods. They offer a full bar of alcohol that also includes some sake and a good selection of Japanese whiskey. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and friendly service. The truffle sliders and lobster rolls were a delight! The wasabi truffle mashed potatoes were gourmet comfort food at its finest. The menu had such a great selection, I have to go back to try even more!

We heard about the mochi pounding event and came to check it out. There were people pounding mochi outside with drums going as well, very festive! We tried a couple items from their mochi menu and items from their regular menu as well. The age dashi mochi was delicious. I loved the texture of the mochi. The red bean soup with mochi was a miss for us. The mochi itself was again fantastic but the red bean soup seemed off. The miso cod entree was delicious and immediately inhaled. The curry stew was good but the beef bites were tough and dry. We ordered the sashimi don and it almost didn't arrive by the time we got tired of waiting and wanted to leave. The service staff were nice but seemed inexperienced. We had significant waits between dishes. We spent most of the hour sporadically waiti

The food, drinks, desserts, and atmosphere were all outstanding and perfectly balanced. The friendly staff and bartenders, along with the cheerful guests, created a warm and welcoming vibe that made the whole experience special. Whether visiting alone, as a couple, or with a big group, this place has the perfect space and flexibility for any occasion! ⭐ Highly recommended: the French fries, mini burgers, and crème brûlée are absolute must-tries!
