Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast

This place is perfect if you want to be away from the noise and the traffic of downtown. We have stayed there many times and there are no ants, no issues with anything, I really do not know what people expect to find. One thing I assure you compared to cost of a hotel in Holmes County getting a room right now for $85.00 is simply unheard of! Nice big family gathering room, coffee, snacks, TV and bathroom in this room alone is a treat for sure. I for one spend more time doing things in Amish Ohio and return to house to get to bed, and this place is very nice and the owner's are very special people.

My husband and I stay at the Garden Gate every chance we get. We started staying there shortly after Carol and Doug purchased the B&B. It was over Valentines Day weekend and Carol served us heart shaped pancakes. The entire breakfast was romantically themed, adorable and delicious. .Carol and Doug treat their guests as family and go above and beyond to be sure you have an enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean cozy and beautifully decorated, the food is delicious and the hospitality is amazing. We just spent New Year’s Eve with them and the stay was unforgettable. 1) VERY disappointed in the breakfast. I could have gotten better at a hotel. Small bags of instant oatmeal, English muffins, hard boiled eggs, bananas and brownies is not my kind of breakfast. 2) bed was comfortable but the shower curtain was very stained from rust and the bath towels had a weird smell like they weren’t taken out of the washer. 3) location was out in the country which was nice.

I purchased the Garden Gate suite for my boyfriends birthday and we had a wonderful stay! The room was perfect for the 2 of us, bed and pillows were super comfy and the jacuzzi was amazing. Carol and Doug are some of the nicest people! Our last night there the TV and fireplace stopped working and could not be fixed that day so they upgraded us to the cottage for our last night! We loved the cottage even more! We are actually planning on getting one for Valentines day. We can't wait to come back! We love the area too!

We spent two nights at this bed and breakfast and enjoyed our stay very much. Carol and Doug are wonderful hosts and helped us plan our route for the day to optimize our time in the are. We had the Garden Suite and the room was lovely. Breakfast was very good. If you were wanting anything, Carol and Doug were right there to provide it. In the evening we were welcome to join the family on the patio and some Amish neighbours dropped over. It was such a fun, lively discussion and we were welcome to ask questions about their lifestyle. Carol gave us good suggestions for things we wanted to do during the day and directed us to wonderful restaurants and bakeries. Thank you for such a lovely stay!
