Ganbei Japanese Restaurant & Bar

The food is fair; the portions are good. If you want better Japanese fare and a better environment, visit one of the local restaurants that cook in front of you. Our server was quite erratic, and the crowd was rather noisy. In addition, finding parking is a bit of a chore.

It's such a relaxing and pleasant place to eat. They use stone, bamboo, and even a waterfall to give the room a natural feel. Its always clean and the bathrooms are really nice. The service is always great and the staff is friendly. The food is fantastic. I love the filet mignon and the Mongolian beef. The fried green beans are out of this world. The Ganbei spicy fried rice is also great. I don't eat sushi but friends have told me its the best they've had in the area. Highly recommend this place. Just be sure to check the hours since they close between lunch and dinner.

Celebrated a friends birthday there. Autumn our waitress was very attentive and an excellent server. I would definitely recommend her! The food was delicious! It was an amazing experience!

This was my first experience ever with sushi, and I gotta say that I can definitely understand the hype! I came with a friend as a last-minute dinner idea, and we had a wonderful time overall! It was thanks to Taylor, our waitress who provided a fantastic service! She was able to suggest to me the Pink Panther sushi roll, and customized it without tempura (via suggestion from my experienced friend). We also had chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer to start us off as well! We highly recommend this establishment based off of Taylor’s performance, and we’ll be back in the future!

Update February 18, 2025: Back at Ganbei for a fabulous lunch. One of the two sushi Chef's prepared a lovely, heart-shaped appetizer. Not only pleasing to the eye, but also to the taste buds. Got a small Pearl Saki, non-filtered, so it has a white milky appearance. If you like saki, I highly recommend you give the Pearl a try. Today, I treated myself.
