Great spot for coffee, deli, etc. their toasts are delicious and with generous amount of ingredients, hope it stays the same. Always great costumer service and the atmosphere is also great. I highly recommend their bannana iced latte, Bannana cream hot latte, and their bannana matchas. I enjoy their toasts they are delicious. Staff is always very welcoming! Please don’t change Galu!

Came here on 1/30 to support the banana bread latte sales going to Al Otro Lado! The 20 minute wait just to order was worth it. Service and staff were really great! While in the busy rush without hesitation they acknowledged and gave a homeless man an iced cold water at his request! Definitely will be back again for more drinks and pastries!

Came on a Monday in hopes that it wasn’t too much and that was a good idea however by the time I left it got busier. Line moves fast and it’s definitely worth the wait. Great options on drinks! I had the cafe de olla latte iced and it was 🔥 so good! I also have the iced citrus refresher I mixed both flavor options which I believe were mango and strawberry. It was like having a tamarindo candy in a drink. Not too sweet and refreshing on a hot day! It paired nicely with the white chilaquiles, they were delicious. Also took a carrot cake loaf to go. Staff was friendly and efficient. It’s a small coffee shop and they do ask that 5 people go in at a time to help keep it cool and obviously not be too cramped. Bathrooms are available for customers. Galu Cafe is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you can feel that it’s a warm, family-owned spot where every detail is crafted with care. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service makes you feel appreciated. 🫶🏻 But let’s talk about the stars of the show: the coffee and matcha. It’s genuinely the best in Chula Vista—rich, smooth, and clearly made with passion. Ton of great options from Banana Matcha (fav) to Sesame Black latte. 😋 And the food? Absolutely fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and made with heart. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or just a pastry to pair with your coffee, you really can’t go wrong. Galu Cafe is the kind of place you want to visit again and again (which we do)! 😂 A must try in the Chula Vista area. 👏☕🍽️✨

I love this coffee shop — I stop by whenever I can. They have awesome drink options, and the matcha is pretty good too. But honestly, I always come back for the grilled cheese with that amazing tomato soup. The staff is super nice and they’re usually pretty quick, even when it gets crowded.
