Gables Bed & Breakfast Inn

I can’t say enough good things about The Gables Inn and its owner, Peter. I found myself in a real pinch during a winter storm, and Peter truly came to the rescue. His kindness and willingness to help turned a stressful situation into an unexpectedly wonderful stay. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed — and the bed was fantastic. After a long, cold day, it was exactly what I needed. Everything felt warm, welcoming, and well cared for. The atmosphere at the Mountain Dog Pub & Restaurant was equally inviting. Great food, a cozy vibe, and the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. This wasn’t just a stay — it was genuine hospitality at its best. I stayed on s Sunday night and was very impressed. The Innkeeper was a super nice guy. The house was decorated very nicely and immediately made me feel at home. My room was great and the bed was so comfortable, I'm thinking of getting one at home. I slept great. Coffee and muffins waiting for me in the morning with the best strawberry jelly I ever had. Also a plus, within walking distance to a great restaurant and movie theater. Just a perfect place.

My wife and I just stayed at The Gables and absolutely loved it! John, the innkeeper, is the friendliest person and extremely helpful. He made us feel right at home from the second we walked in the house. The house itself has a lot of character and is very spacious. For breakfast we had homemade muffins and strawberry jam which were both delicious and John even let us take the extras with us for the road. We would definitely love to come and stay at The Gables again!

My wife and I stayed one night over this past weekend. The house, the decor and the room was very nice. John is the proprietor and he is very friendly and explains everything. Breakfast was coffee/tea/hot chocolate along with juice and homemade bran muffins and homemade jam. We highly recommend The Gables if you are staying in the area.

Colds and hot drinks are available 24 hours.|There are several bedrooms upstairs of different sizes.|Our room had a sleep number type mattress which was comfortable.
