Dined here with my significant other last month (1/30). She had suggested this spot after trying it first with her roommates. The decor is nice, and the place is clean. The lanterns and sakura blossoms decorating the ceiling add to the authenticity. We got the fried gyoza as an appetizer - crunchy and yummy like it should be. We also tried the chicken bbq sticks - these were SO GOOD. I don’t know what sauce and dry rub they put on it but it is delicious! For the ramen, we tried the miso and shoyu ramen. They were both hearty and warming, delicious and done perfectly. What we really enjoyed about the ramen were the portions. Other places will charge the same price for smaller portions, but here you get your bang for your buck. The missus also tried the honeydew melon milk tea with mango po
This food was disappointing and did not look anything like the photos. I can make a bowl of oodles and noodles and add mushrooms, frozen edamame, canned corn, and a boiled egg that tastes better. Noodles have absolutely no seasoning and the broth and toppings are not enough for the amount of unseasoned noodles. The “side” fried rice did not have any flavor. Just oil and rice and specks of egg yolk. Shrimp tempura is frozen and tastes like seapack in the frozen food section of any grocery store. Used DoorDash so can’t speak on service or atmosphere. Paid almost 40.00 for food that’s worth 15.00 diy.
Honest review. Ordered an appetizer and they had standard good tasting dumplings. Was disappointed in the highlight dish, which was the spicy seafood ramen. If I were to describe the broth it tasted watery, like chilli flakes and sink water. It was so bad that my friend and I could not eat much of it. We really tried to like it, but it was that nasty. The waitress was fine, but the person I believe to be the manager offered us a discount instead of a refund. She only refunded us 3$ on a 17$ bowl. You can see it on the check in the photo below. There’s the receipt and the amount of ramen we had left over.
The Chicken Kara-Age Donburi is my favorite thing there! The chicken hibachi also tasted so fresh and delicious! The veggies had great texture. Both styles of rice were cooked perfectly. The flavors are addictive and reminds me of time I spent in Japan. I have eaten in and have also gotten it to go and both situations the portions are very generous. My family and I love their food.
Service was great! The ramen was unfortunately not the best ramen but the house fried udon was delicious! I will go back for that, especially because it's more convenient when I'm not feeling the experience at Yummy Bowl. Our server was amazing and very sweet!
