Fronteras Mexican Restaurant and Cantina

We stumbled across this place while passing through Ottawa. Such a pleasant surprise. The place was impressively clean and our waitress Courtney, was delightfully. Our meals were delicious and served with very little wait times. We're planning on going back.

I recently visited Fronteras in Ottawa, Kansas with my coworkers, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I brought my guide dog with me, and they were extremely accommodating and respectful, which truly meant a lot and made the visit even more enjoyable. The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and made sure everyone at the table was well taken care of. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, and the portions were very generous. You can really tell that care and pride go into every dish. Wonderful authentic Mexican food. Complimentary queso and chips for appetizer is addictive. Wish more restaurants did that vs just salsa. Maya Chimi or Sunday fajita special are my favorites. Prices are very reasonable

Food, service and atmosphere were great. We were visiting from out of town and happy we chose to eat here. I had the apaoulco fajitas and would get those again. Salsa and queso were delicious.

One word…DELICIOUS!!! We were just driving through and thought we’d try it! It was so yummy and our waitress was super friendly! We will definitely be coming back the next time we come through Ottawa. It’s SO good!
