From Scratch Restaurant

We went to this restaurant with no expectations and lo and behold, it is a Guy Fieri DDD restaurant and what do you know, it was wonderful! We got the Triple D sampler and it was so good with some plain buttermilk pancakes. Waylon helped us and he was very kind and checked on us the perfect amount of times. I’d recommend sharing the Triple D sampler with one other person and getting a sweet option to share as well as both dishes were very rich and savory.

One of my favorite brunch places in Monterey (as a former local). Excellent food and a great outdoor seating area for an early lunch or late breakfast! Service is friendly and always a great experience. Great spot inside the Barnyard location for a nice walk to other shops right after or before being seated. *Get the huevos rancheros! you will not be dissapointed

Came here early Saturday morning with a group of friends and was seated right away with no wait time. The restaurant provided indoor and outdoor seating. The food was delicious. My friends enjoyed their meals. I had ordered the cinnamon roll pancake and the carmel omelette. The pancake was crispy tasting the cinnamon per bite. Couldn’t finish the pancake and saved it for two days, pancake had its texture if you toast it for a few minutes. The omelette was really good paired with the fruit cup. Overall it was a good relaxing sit back vibe at this breakfast spot. Will be back when I’m in Carmel again.

We had an amazing Valentine’s Day breakfast at From Scratch! The food was incredible - we both ordered the special of the day, the Crab Cake Benedict, and it was 10/10. They also had heart-shaped pancakes as a special, even though we chose a different flavor pancake from their regular menu, our server offered to have it made into a heart shape anyway. Our latte and Americano were also delicious. I can’t emphasize enough how great the service was and how kind everyone was. We’ve tried other breakfast spots in Carmel, but From Scratch blows them all out of the water. Thank you, John, for such a great experience!!

The brisket chilli is phenomenal. One of the best biscuits I have ever had also. Service was exceptional. We stumbled across in a random Google "restaurants near me" during a recent trip to the California central coast for my wife's birthday.. Being that it was on Triple D, we figured it would be good. But, it was way better than good. Highly recommend.
