This is the best food truck in the area. I got the carne asada and the tacos nicas so far and both were great. The churrasco meat is tender and huge. The beans and rice are perfect. The plantains are a delicious side. The Tacos nicas are so good!! It doesn’t look like a Mexican taco it’s beef in a fried shell with a big serving of salsa and cabbage salad and the mix is incredible. The people are friendly and the truck has great operating hours. Go try it, tell your friends, support our community members that are contributing to the fabric of our society.
My buddy is Cuban, from Miami. He recommended this place. He always knows the good places to get Latin/ Hispanic food. And when you are the only non-Spanish speaking person in line...you know you have found the real stuff. I had the carne asada, red beans and rice, fried plantain, and shredded cabbage salad. All of it was delicious and it was a huge portion. The meat was tender and well seasoned, the beans and rice were done perfectly, the plantains were slightly sweet and crispy and the cabbage salad was crunchy and tangy. All very well done! It's a food truck at a gas station! It's winter! Grab a styrofoam clamshell and take it home. You won't regret it!
I got the cerdo asado (grilled pork) and the serving size is as it should be, huge! A Fritanga needs to be a lot of food, everything you get should be a feast and they don't shy away from the portions! So that's great, the pork was marinated the traditional Nica way and it was on point and authentic. I wish they had traditional Nicaraguan beverages, at least cacao or chica. Service was straightforward, it's a food truck so just order your food and go. The atmosphere was alright, it's on the side of a gas station so...yeah. That's the vibe you'll get. 😆
The food is good. I had carne asada; my wife ordered enchiladas. Gallo pinto was the best. The meat was overcooked, maduro was okay, fried cheese was great. The lady was rude, and can they choose a better spot for this food truck? It’s behind a giant trash can, and the atmosphere is unhygienic.
Great tasting Nicaraguan food.
