We have been here over an hour!!! Before people started coming in and 4 tables now, have been served before us. Waitress had zero communication with us. This is beyond ridiculous. There is 5 of us, very simple order and one other table. Not coming here again. Where’s the walleye in these walleye tacos?

Our family visited for lunch while in Ely, and we had a wonderful experience. I would like to specifically mention our server, Brandy. She was exceptionally attentive and patient with our large group of 13. She ensured the children's food arrived quickly and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The food was great, and everyone in our group enjoyed their dishes. We also appreciated having plenty of space at our table to mingle comfortably. Thank you once again for the great service.

My husband and I stopped here on our honeymoon in Ely, MN. It was winter so everything is Ely is pretty dead and a lot is closed, but this place was open! We got the walleye sandwich special for $18.95 and chicken strips and fries. Fries tasted like McDonald’s but seasoning was good — we ended up asking for extra seasoning and pouring it on. Walleye was fresh, good tartar sauce, and bread was good. The beer was good and a decent price, they had lots of good beers on tap. We went to the boathouse the night before and they changed a lot there and it was not as cozy as it once had been, we recommend coming here instead if you are looking for a cozy at home feeling with a bigger beer selection.

It was ok, after reading the reviews we chose this place to have a good meal, we were disappointed. Kinda spendy for what you get. Boom boom shrimp, lacked shrimp & boom, super bland n $18 for 8 shrimp sucks.

Love this place!! The name is so great too. “Frisky Otter” 🦦 The girls and I came to hear some live music out on the patio. So fun! We had some drinks and snacks and overall experience was great. Special shoutout to Audrey (fun and friendly) and Angel (she really took care of the restaurant appearance and and she really catered to everyone’s needs- human and dogs alike!)
