Frisch's Big Boy

I always remembered eating at Big Boy's with my dad when I was a kid in Ohio and had fond memories. So I wanted to take my kids when we were in Ohio again. My Super Big Boy was cold, with unmelted cheese, and patties that had probably been cooked an hour ago, based on the texture. My son's kid's cheeseburger was the same. Pretty disappointing for a non fast food restaurant. But, the service was good, the restaurant was clean, salad bar stocked. The other kids enjoyed all their food and the mozzarella sticks were really good. Maybe we hit them on an off night, or someone called off in the kitchen. I'll try it again sometime, but if I'm going to pay Chili's prices here, I would expect the same quality.

The food would be a lot better if the kitchen would stay off their cell phones, and pay attention! Hasbrowns are super easy. Mine were ordered crispy and came out raw and cold! Server was excellent and even gave me my second cup of coffee to go. This isn't the first time the kitchen failed. Do better, not that difficult, especially when I was the only order.

Frisch's is my favorite place to eat in Port Clinton. Try the Big Boy! Starter sauce on a burger? It totally works! Could be because they have the best tartar sauce I have ever had. We took a jar home for us and one for a friend. We have been treated to a Lake Eerie view seat almost every time we have visited. Last time we were there one server was waiting tables and the manager was helping her. The service? Still excellent, all be it a smidgen slow getting our orders taken. The food came quickly, drinks were refiled, and the check at an appropriate time. It is not what you would expect from a burger place. The salad bar, sit down and service style with pay up front, but I love it! We haven't been forgetting breakfast or dinner. Next visit!

Great view of the Lake! Plenty of seating and cute memorabilia. Food was good for a Great price! Nice family style chill place. Too bad most are going out of business! Brooklyn was great!

Food was ok, onion rings were soggy and not fresh. The super big boy and mushroom Swiss were decent but atleast our server Kelsey V. was cute and very friendly. Didn't take any pictures because honestly it looked horrible.
