I had told my tax preparer via email and via the tax return portal that I had changed my address for the 2024 filing. He did not update it like he said he would. To this day, I didn't get my refund check. The first year of filing was great and the folks were very personable- but my second year of filing I was sorely disappointed. Eventually, after months of back and forth trying to resolve the issue with a power-of-attorney and all, I was told my next options I had available would be to get my tax liability down for 2025 and hope my 2024 refund would be delivered with it, or reach out to the IRS and DoR on my own since there was nothing they could do as just a representative. For the amount I paid to file with them, I would have expected better than to fix a problem they created.
