While passing through Española, I decided to visit Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. The parking lot was busy around 1:30 PM, suggesting local popularity even after the lunch rush. Inside, the decor featured a pleasant retro burger joint style. I ordered the original double burger combo, which included Freddy's shoestring fries and a soft drink. The staff, including the cashier, were notably friendly and welcoming. I learned that this location has been a fixture in the Española dining scene for over a decade. We arrived and it was close to. Closing......the manager/shift leader treated and greeted us like we were the first customers of the day. She looked tired and extremely busy but was all smile and very attentive. We had had a long day too and it was very much appreciated the level of courtesy she showed. THE FOOD was very fast and delicious!!! Very hot....very fresh ....was completely surprised and noticed the crew was all scrambling and working HARD. it was a pleasure to see that it was end of night/shift and they had a rush and no attitudes or yelling just hard diligent work. Ordered onion rings on account of I wasn't that hungry but my family was. Did not disappoint, they give you more than just 4!😄

The young people who work at this fast-food restaurant are always courteous and accommodating. My family loves to come here for food that tastes fresher and better than most fast-food places. Freddy's custard is especially delicious and addictive 😋 The tables and floors are generally clean, and BONUS: the staff will not mess up your order!

I hadn't eaten here since it opened and decided to give it another shot, but my whole family was shocked by the complete lack of flavor in the food. We even got ice cream for the kids, and it was absolutely nasty. I'll never go back. I'm not sure what the hype is about this place, if there even is any! 🤢🍦
