Franklin T. DeGroodt Memorial Library

this library is located in the SE corner of Malabar and Minton road right next to the Palm bay city hall and police station.. It would be really nice if this building gets renovated as it seems so old inside and outside but as a library it serves the purpose really well with all the collection of books and other library materials, very quiet atmosphere, nice and friendly staff, neat and clean, outdated bathrooms but Ok and a lot of parking lots.

Love this library! We always go early in the day and it is quiet. staff is friendly.

Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to our local library — it’s truly a hidden gem in the community! From free Wi-Fi and computer access to quiet study areas, printing services, and tons of books and resources, it’s honestly one of the best spots around for anyone needing a place to work, read, or just unwind. BUT… it’s time we talk about the restrooms. 😬 They’re definitely overdue for a major upgrade. Toilet paper’s always running out, some stalls are barely hanging on, and the overall condition just doesn’t match the quality of the rest of the space. It’s not the most welcoming situation for the public, especially when everything else is so well-kept. The library deserves some love — especially in the restroom department! We are Creative Therapy, which is a crochet group that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-3p in the library. All are welcomed!

Recently moved to the area. Love taking my kid to the library! Lots of activities for toddlers and great book selections.
