Franklin Public Library

The guy that works there threatened and followed me and kids as leaving. All because I brought my service dog. Had to push the door on him so he would not get to my kids. The lady there is great but because of him we will never return. He says that I had to have papers for my service dog but in America they there is no such thing per ADA law.

Dropping this review exclusively for Christy (hope I got that spelling right!) who was absolutely wonderful during our visit! She printed off a copy of a book that was unavailable at the library for us to read when we requested it—absolute gem of a person, 10/10!! Made my week.

They will ask you to leave after 15 minutes if you do not have an account with them. I live one small town away but apparently the libraries in this area aren’t connected at all, so I couldn’t register with this library. That seems weird considering how isolated this place is and how few visitors it has. I was just sitting inside by the computer after they told me I couldn’t become a member, and I was using the WiFi to apply for jobs since the reception in this county is poor. There was an emergency weather alert for the heat that day. Even though I was the only one in the library, I was still asked to leave. There wasn’t any kind of selection available at all. Just a few bookcases inside a room. I won’t be coming back, and I don’t think I’ll be missing anything.

The library is a great place to relax, to get the not so relaxing things in life done. Here's a wonderful child friendly place whose staff genuinely cares about their "customers" and profession.

It's a beautifully constructed Carnegie library. With a second floor that hosts a lot of puppet show's now. A small library with decent selection.
