Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana

After growing up with the best pizza on the planet from CT via Sally’s and Pepe’s, and having waited 7 years to grab some of the originals again, it was (sadly) extremely underwhelming. Maybe it was an “off” day, maybe the franchising quality has gone down since I lived on the east coast, but this was just NOT it. Make it better at home, and for the prices, I wouldn’t visit again.

I used to live in New Haven for a few years before moving to Long Island so I enjoyed Pepe's often. This weekend I was in West Hartford for a wedding and decided to try this location. Best Pie Ever. Absolutely amazing quality. Take note every single person working there had a smile on their face. They definitely value their customers and are passionate about what they do. I had to save a few slices for breakfast tomorrow.

Ordered 2 pizzas and a Large Italian salad with roasted chicken. Pizzas were good but salad was horrible, old decomposing and no roasted chicken to be found, place has gone down hill. Feel scammed out of 20$ no way nobody noticed salad was old and decomposing nasty.

The friendly server made my day! We were welcomed warmly the minute we step into the restaurant. Our server and us had some quite fun conversations that made us super happy! This was our first time to CT, so the white clam pizza is a a must. We also ordered the meaty piazza per our server’s suggestion. Both pies were delicious. Good food and good service = 5 Star restaurant without a doubt.

I tried their pizza the first time back in 2022 in New Haven and it was really good and delicious today. I heard that they have opened up a new location nearby and I went to try it and again I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a real Italian real pizza structure and flavor. I put an order and I just went there to pick it up. It didn’t take more than 15 minutes. It was hot and delicious.
