Fort Plain Free Library

Such an amazing community resource more people should know about. The library is so cozy and organized. You can tell the staff really care about the building. There is even a music room and a crafts room! And little historical pieces tucked on top of the shelves. And Mac computers.

The Fort Plain Library is an amazing place. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. If there is a book you are looking for and can't find, they either help you out or find another library that has it and get it for you. There are all kinds of extra activities there as well. There are story times for kids. Classes of all kinds that meet there every week to every month. Music lessons! They hold all kinds of raffles and special occasions several times a year. Too many to list. If you haven't been there, give them a visit. You'll find it well worth your while.

I stopped for the Library book sale today, I was given a tour of the library building by a very nice lady. Everyone was very friendly & helpful in telling me about the beautiful village of Fort Plain. I left with a bagful of books, homemade pop tarts & fresh bagels from the bakery around the corner. I will be back to visit this village & library again!

I really love this library for all the community events they have going on and the friendly staff. I only wish it was more conducive to study with more tables available throughout the library for anytime someone needs a space to do work, study, etc.

Wonderful library. Always helpful. Generous—does not charge late fee for over due books (which really helps when you can not always afford/turn in books on time).
