Forester Restaurant and Tavern

True hidden gem! Cozy patio, beautiful views. Our server Treyah was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Food was awesome, we got pierogis, stuffed mushrooms, cajun shrimp, salad, blackened tuna, seafood risotto - all was prepared fast and it was delicious. Small but good wine list and seasonal beer. Recommend this place if you are in the area!

We have been wanting to try this restaurant while up at camp for a while, we finally went and tonight. Our waitress(I forget her name) was great, and the food was delicious! The seafood chowder was amazing, as was the calamari. My brother got a burger and fries which was huge, my sister in law got the chicken piccata, and I got the sirloin risotto. We will definitely be back!

My sister and brother in law and I ended up here on a whim for dinner and it was excellent. Definitely not what you expect when you find this restaurant tucked into the trees. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We ordered the jalapeño poppers with habanero peach cream cheese, chicken cordon bleu with pierogis, steak risotto, and the seafood risotto. They were all super delicious. Definitely recommend a visit!

“I really wish I could say this was a great experience, but management made sure it wasn’t. I ordered the streak gorgonzola a steak pasta dish and the steak was so overcooked and tough it couldn’t be eaten. I sent it back, & asked for a replacement — but nothing ever came, the waitress had to tell me that the chef/cook couldn’t prepare the steak any other way because of the cut. They simply took it away, and never offered anything in its place. When I suggested it would be fair to comp a beer, our waitress kindly agreed. But when she brought the bill, she was clearly uncomfortable — management had refused to cover even that. She ended up paying for my drink herself just to make things right. Just outside of Warren in the middle of nowhere sits this tavern. Our drinks where served in plastic cups. There was a man singing on the patio. I got the shrimp burger. It was interesting. The pierogis were amazing.
