Fonda Don Chon

Came here because seen a video of Mikey Chen on Youtube, and he had ordered the cheese fondue that looked so delicious. I thought to myself, I gotta try it. Unfortunately. I came on a Sunday and didn't know it was buffet style. Nonetheless, we gave it a go. We didnt know what to do at first lol, but our server was glad to show us where to start. Food was surprisingly delicioso. Everything tastes so good. Fonda Don Chon did not disappoint. I will be coming again they just need to up their alcohol game. Spicy margarita fell flat but the price was right. $80 for two including Sodas and margarita.

Really enjoyed this place. Cool decor, good vibes, and the service was on point. Our server was attentive and really kind to my son which made the whole experience better. Got the fajitas and molcajete don chon, both were banging. Chips and tortillas are homemade which you can totally tell. Would go again for sure.

Food at this place years ago was good. Had not been here for a few years now, we used to come regularly before covid hit. When food was full of flavor and freshly made. The all you can eat buffet on the weekends was always fire. This time that we came to eat, sadly to say food was very bland the presentation as well not so good. Maybe it was an off day not sure. It tasted like hospital food no flavor at all. The ambient as well changed a lot, mainly senior people, wasn't feeling it like before, times changed. Customer service was still pretty good some old faces still work there which was a plus for the great service. They kept coming by for refills and making sure everything was good. Food was delicious! Plus the atmosphere and employees made eating here such a welcoming experience. Highly recommend eating here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I’d be happy to return and support their business.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Fonda Don Chono. The food was underwhelming and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while rather than made fresh. The tacos were bland, the rice was dry, and the beans had almost no flavor. For a place that’s supposed to serve authentic Mexican food, it honestly felt very mediocre. The service didn’t help either. Staff seemed uninterested and it took a long time just to get basic things like water or extra napkins. When the food finally came out, parts of the order were wrong and no one really seemed to care to fix it. On top of that, the restaurant itself didn’t feel very clean. Tables weren’t wiped down properly and the overall atmosphere felt a bit neglected. Considering the prices, I expected a much better experience. Overall, I wou
